The supporters of Hungary booed when 2kC Poznań was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Turak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Major Barna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tadeusz Rutkowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Ulryk Merski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
