Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Lucjan Sokol started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 7 minutes into the match, Lucjan Sokol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucjan Sokol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tadeusz Rutkowski. That made the score 1-1 after 10 minutes of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tadeusz Rutkowski firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tadeusz Rutkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Tadeusz Rutkowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 19 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tadeusz Rutkowski made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Tadeusz Rutkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeusz Rutkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tadeusz Rutkowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. 2kC Poznań's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tadeusz Rutkowski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fernando Ekialde kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After 52 played minutes 2kC Poznań got a freekick which was hit by Czeslaw Hoffman. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tadeusz Rutkowski. 2kC Poznań's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 2kC Poznań's 冰谷 谢霆锋 was substituted for Stanislaw Kisielka. 2kC Poznań's Ulryk Merski was substituted for Lucjan Sokol. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 60th minute of play forced 2kC Poznań's goalkeeper Tadeusz Rutkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, 2kC Poznań's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Tadeusz Rutkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeusz Rutkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to 2kC Poznań getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Zbigniew Zaworski hit a great ball. Ulryk Merski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Lars Meesters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Tadeusz Rutkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Kees Mooiweer got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Janusz Pusiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Edgar Turak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. 2kC Poznań's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Ekialde during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 87th minute of the game. One of 2kC Poznań:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Netherlands:s goal. Tadeusz Rutkowski had in the 89thth minute some difficulties stopping Gijsbert ter Kruimer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Janusz Pusiak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 96 minutes into the match, 2kC Poznań's Ulryk Merski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnout Reekers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 97 played minutes 2kC Poznań got a freekick which was hit by 冰谷 谢霆锋. There was no doubt that Netherlands were the better team. Netherlands's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
