Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Zaccheo Andolina made the kick off and thus started the match. 3 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Madureira came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Madureira in the 7th minute of play. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Italy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sigfrido Auletta in the 11th minute. Straedelburgh's Aderbal Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 16th minute of play. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Vilas Boas in the 24th minute of play. Italy's Zaccheo Andolina got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes in the game, Zaccheo Andolina dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 32 minutes of play, Italy's Sigfrido Auletta made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aderbal Santos was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Straedelburgh's goalkeeper Aderbal Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 40th minute of play forced Straedelburgh's goalkeeper Aderbal Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 played minutes Straedelburgh got a freekick which was hit by Gunnar Björklund. When Sigfrido Auletta came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Italy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sigfrido Auletta couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Ferrão came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Narciso Madureira to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Straedelburgh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Betão Matorin to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute Porziano Marchitelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aderbal Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 played minutes Straedelburgh got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Vilas Boas. The supporters of Italy booed when Straedelburgh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Vilas Boas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Sostene Vitulli. Zaccheo Andolina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aderbal Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Porziano Marchitelli in the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Betão Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Straedelburgh's Aderbal Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute Italy were awarded a corner. Sigfrido Auletta went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 79th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aderbal Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Michael Helström in the 81st minute of the match. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Straedelburgh's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Siricio Liotta took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Siricio Liotta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Aderbal Santos quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Italy had won after a very even match.
