In the 35th minute, Siricio Liotta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Siricio Liotta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornel Luncaniță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sigfrido Auletta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornel Luncaniță having to interfere. Cornel Luncaniță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Porziano Marchitelli in the 44th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Alf Ekelund made the kick off in the second half. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhuang Jian Yi in the 55th minute of play. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Segelbut IF's goalkeeper Cornel Luncaniță, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 68th minute Zhuang Jian Yi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zena Busacca hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alf Ekelund in the 71st minute of play.
