Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Nueva having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Günalp Talip came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adalberto Nueva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute Günalp Talip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arın Biçim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnout Reekers came out and tried to block the shot, but Arın Biçim slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 32nd minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adalberto Nueva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Iron Maiden FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Adalberto Nueva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 43rd minute of play forced Iron Maiden FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Nueva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Meesters hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. A collision led to Iron Maiden FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Arın Biçim hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Adalberto Nueva. That made the score 1-1 after 53 minutes of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Günalp Talip in the 57th minute of the match. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Nueva having to interfere. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Murray in the 62nd minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Iron Maiden FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Nueva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Iron Maiden FC's Janick Geers was substituted for Dave Murray. García Garate kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janick Geers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 2-1 became the score in the 78th minute when Janick Geers elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Adalberto Nueva made a huge save. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adalberto Nueva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Iron Maiden FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Fuente to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Egbert Nijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Iron Maiden FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Fuente didn't get a good kick on the ball.
