Cristian Voican made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. If Ferdinand Radu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cristian Voican, 1-0. Alexandru Raţiu's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandru Raţiu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to A.C. Milan getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Alexandru Raţiu hit a great ball. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for A.C. Milan! Cristian Voican went to the wrong direction when Frank Sachs was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Robert Trifănucă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandru Raţiu in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Raţiu in the 23rd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Germany fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Germany's Frank Sachs looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Trifănucă in the 31st minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionică Enceanu hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Cristian Voican made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 41 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Voican made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 42nd minute. The audience was convinced that Robert Trifănucă's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alexandru Raţiu to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Robert Trifănucă fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tommy Kahn, passed just outside the right post. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Alexandru Raţiu sent off a good shot on target. A.C. Milan's Cristian Voican played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 57th minute of play. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Voican having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, A.C. Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Cristian Voican reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 70 played minutes A.C. Milan got a freekick which was hit by Ferdinand Buceceanu. Ionică Enceanu hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristian Voican having to make a save. In the 89th minute of the match Sven Krakouer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristian Voican skillfully saved the ball. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Germany had won after a very even match.
