Anthimos Ntounias hit a great ball. Italy's Zaccheo Andolina got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emilio Shepherd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Porziano Marchitelli in the 34th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kazimierz Chrobak in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Vittori saved Italy from getting behind. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wessel Bos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Anthimos Ntounias in the 47th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Eliseo Cutri.

The wind increased when Wessel Bos made the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Anthimos Ntounias in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Eliseo Cutri. 53 minutes in the game Mariusz Kaleta did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to André Luís Valladares. If Sigfrido Auletta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 65th minute of the game was made by Deodato Magliozzi with Porziano Marchitelli as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some careless play in the KN ZGORZELEC defense, Sigfrido Auletta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emilio Shepherd. The KN ZGORZELEC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emilio Shepherd should have stopped the shot. 72 minutes into the match, KN ZGORZELEC's goal looked a bit too open when Sigfrido Auletta came free, but Emilio Shepherd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, KN ZGORZELEC's Emilio Shepherd got control of the ball when Sigfrido Auletta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Italy's attentive Porziano Marchitelli managed to snatch the ball when Emiliano Felice made a throw-in in the 73rd minute of the game. 74 minutes into the match, KN ZGORZELEC's goalkeeper Emilio Shepherd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaccheo Andolina. Emilio Shepherd was a little too slow when Zaccheo Andolina got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 0-3. After a rather tough play, KN ZGORZELEC's Eugeniusz Kociniewski got a free kick in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 81st minute of play forced KN ZGORZELEC's goalkeeper Emilio Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute Kazimierz Chrobak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
