The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Steaua Nordului's Teodor Hreapcă got control of the ball when Alan Rezek tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Bohumir Kohout hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Denis Dostal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Teodor Hreapcă. That made the score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Alan Rezek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Teodor Hreapcă. Steaua Nordului's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alan Rezek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Steaua Nordului's Teodor Hreapcă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Jilek in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's Alan Rezek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodor Hreapcă narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erik Jilek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Denis Dostal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Teodor Hreapcă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Jilek in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodor Hreapcă saved Steaua Nordului from getting behind. Steaua Nordului's Eric Titulescu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alan Rezek in the 85 minute of the game. Denis Dostal took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodor Hreapcă. Teodor Hreapcă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. When Czech Republic's Erik Jilek in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Steaua Nordului's goalie prevented a goal. Alan Rezek got a throw-in 95 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Erik Jilek. Teodor Hreapcă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Jilek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Czech Republic had played much better football throughout.
