Carsten Eckstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Nils-Åke Wickander notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Portugal booed when Real Södertälje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralf Björk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birger Hedberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Carsten Eckstein successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rikard Wolff in the 23rd minute of the match. Carsten Eckstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Carsten Eckstein made a huge save. 30 minutes into the match, Real Södertälje's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moreira came free, but Carsten Eckstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Birger Hedberg came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nils-Åke Wickander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 39th minute of play forced Real Södertälje's goalkeeper Carsten Eckstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yu Feng Ning hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Raul Caetano hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The Portugal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Real Södertälje were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nils-Åke Wickander to strike the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils-Åke Wickander. After 60 minutes of play, Portugal's Felipe Barreto made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carsten Eckstein was left in no man's land by his defense there! Real Södertälje made a substitution. Evelio Rico replaced Nils-Åke Wickander. Real Södertälje's Jakob Källberg was substituted for Birger Hedberg. Real Södertälje made a substitution. Bennvar Nickler replaced Rikard Wolff. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. The throw-in from Jarkko Tuovinen in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda. In the 75th minute, Bennvar Nickler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Södertälje fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Bennvar Nickler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Bennvar Nickler kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 82ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot Portugal's keeper Wilson Amorim was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. A hard shot 82 in the game by Bennvar Nickler from a close distance when the talented Wilson Amorim managed to make a qualified save. Portugal's players were relieved. Carsten Eckstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipinho Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Evelio Rico came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Real Södertälje fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evelio Rico couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute Felipinho Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carsten Eckstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Real Södertälje's Carsten Eckstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 93rd minute of play. Felipinho Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Portugal supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Real Södertälje's performance. The match ended with a win for Real Södertälje.
