Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of Italy booed when Gracie Barra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olavo Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Falcão Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The audience was convinced that Augusto Saldanha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Flavio Vittori was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Falcão Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 53rd minute of the match. After 56 minutes of play, Gracie Barra's Augusto Saldanha made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Vittori was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 61st minute, Augusto Saldanha made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Gracie Barra made a substitution. Nilton Botelho replaced Pedro Velloso. Emanuel de Lara made in the 67th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Alessandro Luther. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 80th minute of play forced Gracie Barra's goalkeeper Falcão Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Snorri De Hond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Nilton Botelho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavio Vittori quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Gracie Barra's zone, Siricio Liotta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Falcão Cunha came out of the goal and Siricio Liotta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adriano Curto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Falcão Cunha came out and tried to block the shot, but Adriano Curto slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 95th minute. Many of Italy's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Italy may have spent more time on the ball, but Gracie Barra were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
