Davide Allemandi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Pavol Koleno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slovakia's supporters rose to their feet, but Pavol Koleno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugenio Stefano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Henrich Slany successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 12th match minute, Valdieri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessio Tornese to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Ondrej Biskup hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Edoardo Rinaldi came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Valdieri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edoardo Rinaldi couldn't finish the play. Arturo Verdone's late challenge caught a Slovakia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arturo Verdone helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Valdieri getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Arturo Verdone hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Metod Mlynar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugenio Stefano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Slovakia's Henrich Slany played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edoardo Rinaldi in the 28th minute of play. During the 30th minute of the match Dennis Berardo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Dennis Berardo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Pavol Koleno got a free kick in the 41st minute. 43 minutes into the match, Edoardo Rinaldi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrich Slany. Slovakia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edoardo Rinaldi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Davide Allemandi kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

After 55 played minutes Valdieri got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Firmani. 56 minutes into the match, Slovakia's Metod Mlynar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eugenio Stefano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 58 minutes into the game, Eraldo Ippoliti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Valdieri's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Slovakia the free kick. After a rather tough play, Valdieri's Eraldo Ippoliti got a free kick in the 58th minute. Eugenio Stefano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Holub, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Metod Mlynar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Stefano having to interfere. When Slovakia's Metod Mlynar in 85 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Eugenio Stefano guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Eraldo Ippoliti kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Eugenio Stefano was a little too slow when Oliver Holub got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 3-2. Ferruccio Franceschelli hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Valdieri had won after a very even match.
