After a rather tough play, Croatia's Benjamin Domazet got a free kick in the 4th minute. Emanuel Tome took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 6th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ilija Skugor. Croatia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Richard Pinheiro notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Croatia's Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Ferrão in the 10th minute of the match. After 11 minutes of play, Straedelburgh's Narciso Madureira made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilija Skugor was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 15 minutes of play, Straedelburgh's Marcos Vilas Boas made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilija Skugor was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 18th minute, Sílvio Ferrão made a precise shot to the right of Ilija Skugor. Croatia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. 21 minutes into the game, Straedelburgh's Narciso Madureira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilija Skugor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After 24 minutes of play, Straedelburgh's Narciso Madureira made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Araújo in the 27th minute of play. Narciso Madureira took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ilija Skugor. Straedelburgh's Karl-Michael Helström was substituted for Narciso Madureira. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-11 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Vilas Boas in the 55th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the match, Emanuel Tome had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilija Skugor. Croatia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emanuel Tome was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-13. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Karl-Michael Helström put it in 0-14 from a short distance just to the right of Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Straedelburgh's Marcos Vilas Boas. But to his dismay, Marcos Vilas Boas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-16. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caco Araújo got free with Ilija Skugor in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the last second Ilija Skugor throw himself and got hold of the ball when Marcos Vilas Boas in the 75thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ilija Skugor was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Caco Araújo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-17 in the 78 minute of play. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gunnar Björklund, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Aderbal Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damir Pongrac, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the game, Sílvio Ferrão recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ilija Skugor. Sílvio Ferrão showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-18. 89 minutes into the match, Sílvio Ferrão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ilija Skugor, 0-19. If Caco Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Karl-Michael Helström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Straedelburgh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-20. Straedelburgh's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
