The corner led Villa di Molvena FC's Uygur Irak to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnout Reekers despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some careless play in the Villa di Molvena FC defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edoardo Mauro. The Villa di Molvena FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edoardo Mauro should have stopped the shot. After 37 played minutes Villa di Molvena FC got a freekick which was hit by Jiang Yuan. In the 43rd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edoardo Mauro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edoardo Mauro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Alexis Sánchez made the kick off in the second half. Villa di Molvena FC's Edoardo Mauro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexis Sánchez in the 54th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jiang Yuan hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Edoardo Mauro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexis Sánchez's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Alexis Sánchez came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edoardo Mauro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexis Sánchez in the 77th minute of play. In the 81st minute Krzysztof Dolić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edoardo Mauro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Fabiano Mattei came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Villa di Molvena FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Mattei couldn't finish the play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Mauro having to interfere. The Villa di Molvena FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Netherlands's performance. The match ended with a win for Netherlands.
