An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Hats in the 4th minute of play forced Spain's goalkeeper Gabriel Ascaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Urbs LC were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Spain's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carter Musacchio took the corner. Ennio Di Marzio was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 16 minutes into the game, Omar Toledo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Eugenio Santoro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gabriel Ascaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ennio Di Marzio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Toledos short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Eugenio Santoro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 28 minutes into the match, Adria Bielsa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eugenio Santoro. Urbs LC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adria Bielsa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Gabriel Ascaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Hats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eugenio Santoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adria Bielsa in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes Urbs LC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Omar Toledo who took care of the corner kick. Spain's Jon Cubero was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eugenio Santoro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Spain booed when Urbs LC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cezary Tusk didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Urbs LC's goalkeeper Eugenio Santoro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Pastor Ihazintu made a precise shot to the right of Gabriel Ascaso. Spain's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 47th minute Pastor Ihazintu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When Omar Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Spain fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Omar Toledo couldn't finish the play. Urbs LC made a substitution. Edoardo Zuccarini replaced Comunardo De Vito. Cezary Tusk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Gabriel Ascaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70thth minute of the game Adria Bielsa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Urbs LC's Eugenio Santoro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gabriel Ascaso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Cannata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Urbs LC's zone, Vicente Merino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Santoro came out of the goal and Vicente Merino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gabriel Ascaso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Cannata in the 93rd minute. Urbs LC's Eugenio Santoro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carles Cherro in the 95th minute of play.
