The supporters of Hungary booed when Åstäppa FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Örtendal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd match minute, Åstäppa FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Arne Alströmer to maneuver through the defense. After 4 played minutes, Hungary's Antal Valentin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Charles Hughes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hungary reached it. After 8 minutes of play, Hungary's Antal Valentin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Charles Hughes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Charles Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Major Barna in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charles Hughes saved Åstäppa FK from getting behind. Czeslaw Czajkowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Balazs Lajos got a free kick in the 19th minute. When Åstäppa FK's Czeslaw Czajkowski in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hungary's goalie prevented a goal. 24 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Czajkowski came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Czeslaw Czajkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Czeslaw Czajkowski's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Åstäppa FK's Charles Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 26th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Hughes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Charles Hughes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Hughes having to interfere. Åstäppa FK's Charles Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Åstäppa FK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. Czeslaw Czajkowski in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fodor Daniel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 47th minute Antal Valentin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Hughes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Hungary were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
After having played for 51 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Örtendal in the 53rd minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Hughes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th play minute Antal Valentin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Charles Hughes. 0-3. Hungary's Balazs Lajos got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Charles Hughes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Balazs Lajos came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Charles Hughes could save by the left post. With a little luck, Åstäppa FK's Charles Hughes got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hegedus Henrik kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Åstäppa FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Major Barna scored to the left of an out of position Charles Hughes, making the score, 0-4. Charles Hughes came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Hungary's Major Barna. But to his dismay, Major Barna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Balazs Lajos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Apelqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hungary's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Peter Örtendal was slow to take the kick. During this time Åstäppa FK's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Åstäppa FK's Czeslaw Czajkowski to fire away a dangerous shot which Fodor Daniel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Czeslaw Czajkowski hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Hungary played a much better game than Åstäppa FK and deserved their victory. The Åstäppa FK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
