After 9 played minutes Edward Vanderstraeten rounded F.C. København's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Laurens Vandamme hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 18th minute of play forced F.C. København's goalkeeper Blas Cidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Belgium booed when F.C. København was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Staalfos didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Staalfos in the 24th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Vanderstraeten succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 29th playminute. Blas Cidro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 32nd minute. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenney Aasum in the 35th minute of the match. F.C. København's Blas Cidro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save F.C. København from getting a goal against them. Hassan Sjøbeck hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nigel Devos to maneuver through the defense. Edward Vanderstraeten took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Blas Cidro. Blas Cidro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Edward Vanderstraeten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blas Cidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Edward Vanderstraeten notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of F.C. København's Blas Cidro. Blas Cidro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 77 minutes into the match, F.C. København's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Blas Cidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Yves Dervaux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blas Cidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Blas Cidro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 90th minute of play. Siebe Michiels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Blas Cidro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belgium's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
