The supporters of AVV Zeeburgia booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Steen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chiel Wilson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 9th minute of the match. Jim Houwing came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Keld Paulsen could save by the left post. In the 13th minute, Jim Houwing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 15th minute of play forced AVV Zeeburgia's goalkeeper Chiel Wilson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerard Klaus in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keld Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Denmark's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jim Houwing was slow to take the kick. During this time AVV Zeeburgia's players had a chance to rest. Kenn Skou's late challenge caught a AVV Zeeburgia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenn Skou helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Denmark:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AVV Zeeburgia:s goal. The referee gave AVV Zeeburgia a penalty, 22 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jim Houwing, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Denmark's Keld Paulsen. 1-0. Bertram Svenningsen scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Chiel Wilson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. AVV Zeeburgia's Chiel Wilson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, AVV Zeeburgia's goal looked a bit too open when Bertram Svenningsen came free, but Chiel Wilson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute AVV Zeeburgia were awarded a corner. Jim Houwing went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led AVV Zeeburgia's Koos Alberts to fire away a dangerous shot which Keld Paulsen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 40th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiel Wilson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Jim Houwing managed to get in a good position for a shot. AVV Zeeburgia's supporters rose to their feet, but Jim Houwing was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chris Nygaard made a kick off. After 51 minutes of play, AVV Zeeburgia's Jim Houwing made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keld Paulsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bertram Svenningsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Jim Houwing ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keld Paulsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Chiel Wilson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. AVV Zeeburgia's Chiel Wilson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 67th minute of play. When Lars Steen fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Denmark's protests and gave Lars Steen a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Lars Steen. If Gerard Klaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Houwing, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Mark Roetering sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Olav Graversen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Chiel Wilson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. In the 82ndth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AVV Zeeburgia's Chiel Wilson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chris Nygaard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Chiel Wilson when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
