The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Florian De Werdt got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Sigvard Åkesson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Italy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sigfrido Auletta in the 6th minute. After taking down the ball on Italy's corner Deodato Magliozzi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mehmet Edip Nazmi quite easily take care of the ball. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Piretti in the 8th minute of play. Mehmet Edip Nazmi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siricio Liotta in the 15th minute of the match. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Piretti in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Tansu İnanoğlu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ersin Bakay's late challenge caught a Italy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ersin Bakay helped the player get up and apologised. Mehmet Edip Nazmi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 26th play minute Florian De Werdt came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Flavio Vittori. 1-0. Italy's attentive Porziano Marchitelli managed to snatch the ball when Battal Seyyit Asır made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the match, Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Mehmet Edip Nazmi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florian De Werdt in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Flavio Vittori saved Italy from getting behind. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mehmet Edip Nazmi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Florian De Werdt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Flavio Vittori made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Italy's Gomberto Picozzi got a free kick in the 84th minute. Aurelio Piretti struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Flavio Vittori didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerbahce ISTANBUL. After a defensive mix-up in Italy's zone, Aurelio Piretti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Vittori came out of the goal and Aurelio Piretti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Florian De Werdt came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
