Durval Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Damásio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renato Aragão went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Renato Aragão kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 29thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Germany's keeper Tommy Kahn was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. After a defensive mix-up in Piao FC's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Durval Soares came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Damásio in the 34th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateus Casado, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 44th minute Renato Aragão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Albin Holweck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Albin Holweck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Durval Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 47 minutes into the game, Renato Aragão lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Tommy Kahn.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Germany's Ulrich Stein got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Reinaldo Carrasqueira made a great header on Piao FC's corner, it was just that Germany's Tommy Kahn managed to reach the ball for a save. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Piao FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Germany had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
