Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. Hungary's Balazs Lajos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kiur Hütt in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Kiur Hütt stood somewhat misplaced when Balazs Lajos came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 87 minute. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hungary's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
