The crowd rose to their feet as Portugal's Viriato Moura slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Duman Temizcan. That made the score 2-4 after 42 minutes of play. Arif Egemen Karaca's late challenge caught a Portugal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arif Egemen Karaca helped the player get up and apologised. Arif Egemen Karaca kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Duman Temizcan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felipe Barreto's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 2-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, La Git!'s Oktay Kahveci got a free kick in the 51st minute. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Manta, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The supporters of Portugal booed when La Git! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oktay Kahveci didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Portugal booed when La Git! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özbek İltay didn't get a good kick on the ball.
