Miguel Zuasnabar started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Adam Olaru cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Sitthachat Jampeehom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Sitthachat Jampeehom successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 26th minute of the match, Adam Olaru tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Sitthachat Jampeehom saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 30 minutes into the match, Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Sitthachat Jampeehom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Costica Vladimiri. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Olaru in the 33rd minute of play forced Gavião Kyikatejê's goalkeeper Sitthachat Jampeehom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sitthachat Jampeehom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Olaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Romania's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adam Olaru in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Zuasnabar in the 44th minute of play forced Romania's goalkeeper Carol Stinga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Costica Vladimiri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Sitthachat Jampeehom made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

55 minutes into the match, Gavião Kyikatejê's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Olaru came free, but Sitthachat Jampeehom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sitthachat Jampeehom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costica Vladimiri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sitthachat Jampeehom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Stinga in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Anton Stinga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sitthachat Jampeehom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Octavian Vaduva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carol Stinga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Zuasnabar in the 75th minute. Sitthachat Jampeehom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rasvan Cristescu in the 80th minute of play. Sitthachat Jampeehom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavian Vaduva in the 81st minute of the match. In the 87th minute Anton Stinga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sitthachat Jampeehom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Grant McPhedron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carol Stinga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Zuasnabar in the 91st minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Miguel Zuasnabar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carol Stinga. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 94th minute, Anton Stinga made a precise shot to the right of Sitthachat Jampeehom. Gavião Kyikatejê's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Romania fully deserved thier win.
