Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sem De Kelper started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Lionel Van Den Broek in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lionel Van Den Broek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 17th minute of play. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolf Huveneers in the 20th minute of play. Yves Dervaux received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Lionel Van Den Broek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rolf Huveneers during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to De Keikoppers getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Rolf Huveneers hit a great ball. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joachim Van Der Meren in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Sem De Kelper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. De Keikoppers's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rolf Huveneers in the 33rd minute. 40 minutes into the match, De Keikoppers's goalkeeper Lionel Van Den Broek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. In the 42nd minute, Marcus Eijkens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edward Vanderstraeten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edward Vanderstraeten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edward Vanderstraeten took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lionel Van Den Broek. Lionel Van Den Broek dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 56 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lionel Van Den Broek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geert Smidts got free with Casper Claes in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Van Den Broek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lionel Van Den Broek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. De Keikoppers were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Belgium's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rolf Huveneers took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Rolf Huveneers got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Casper Claes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. De Keikoppers's Lionel Van Den Broek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 69th minute of play. The corner ended in Yves Dervaux almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but De Keikoppers's Lionel Van Den Broek did a great save. Rolf Huveneers had several of the Belgium's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 85 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Casper Claes as he didn't even see the shot coming. 88 minutes into the game, Edward Vanderstraeten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Lionel Van Den Broek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 93 minutes in the game, Edward Vanderstraeten dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Edward Vanderstraeten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Lenny Clocheret got a free kick in the 95th minute. Belgium's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
