Francesco Marines showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Tony Cote fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Albin Holweck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willy Stieler to maneuver through the defense. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Glenn Hysén went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Melker Bergdal made in the 74th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Leonard Käller however managed to control. Francesco Marines came out of the goal and Albin Holweck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 83 minutes, Francesco Marines successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 86 minutes into the game, Germany's Frank Sachs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francesco Marines made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Marines having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Quetzal Flyers Hammers's goalkeeper Francesco Marines had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. In the 94th minute, Mark Noble hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Quetzal Flyers Hammers fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Germany were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
