Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Xerardo Gasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 14th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Vanderstraeten in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xerardo Gasso saved Club Deportivo Polonia from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Daniel Diaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Claes came out of the goal and Daniel Diaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Belarmino Viejo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Casper Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casper Claes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Diaz in the 30th minute. In the 32nd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xerardo Gasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Claes was a little too slow when Belarmino Viejo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-1. James Machado hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Xavier Salazar during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd match minute, Club Deportivo Polonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Salazar to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edward Vanderstraeten to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Belarmino Viejo in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Yves Dervaux managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgium's supporters rose to their feet, but Yves Dervaux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xerardo Gasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yves Dervaux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xerardo Gasso having to interfere. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Xerardo Gasso made a huge save. 91 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Virgilio Ramis came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. García Ramos was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Deportivo Polonia's players had a chance to rest. García Ramos made a great header on Club Deportivo Polonia's corner, it was just that Belgium's Casper Claes managed to reach the ball for a save. Belgium's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
