In the 5th minute Costica Vladimiri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgio March saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carol Stinga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Del Piero in the 8th minute of the match. C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's Giorgio March proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 from getting a goal against them. Romania's Carol Stinga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pol Petton in the 12th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Costica Vladimiri's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Giorgio March was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Giorgio March showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Serban in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th minute of the match, Alex Serban tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Giorgio March saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Romania's Carol Stinga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pol Petton in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Del Piero in the 32nd minute of play forced Romania's goalkeeper Carol Stinga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giorgio March took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Olaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carol Stinga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pol Petton in the 35th minute of play. Romania's Carol Stinga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Abascal in the 38th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alessandro Del Piero to make the kick off. When Adam Olaru came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Romania fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Olaru couldn't finish the play. C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's Indar Albizua was substituted for Alessandro Del Piero. Romania's Octavian Vaduva was substituted for Costica Vladimiri. Giorgio March took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Stinga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carol Stinga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saul Roman in the 64th minute. If Rasvan Cristescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute Octavian Vaduva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgio March saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anton Stinga in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giorgio March prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Romania were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sanda Cutov took the corner. Romania's Alexandru Pangratiu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Saul Roman, made in the 76th minute of the game. Alexandru Pangratiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgio March having to interfere. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's goalkeeper Giorgio March, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 86th minute of the match Romania got a corner. C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sanda Cutov ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Rasvan Cristescu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Giorgio March made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octavian Vaduva in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Indar Albizua came free, but Carol Stinga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Giorgio March made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Stinga in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute of the match Romania got a corner.
