But to his dismay, Dido Vanev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. VN SOKOLI-VARNA's Lilko Timov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Ciumak in the 13th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Aktan Sara in the 92nd minute of play forced Romania's goalkeeper Carol Stinga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Aktan Sara made a precise shot to the right of Carol Stinga. Romania's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. Romania played a much better game than VN SOKOLI-VARNA and deserved their victory. The VN SOKOLI-VARNA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
