The Duracell Dribblers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Gabrielsson came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Jan Gabrielsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Duracell Dribblers's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Billy Svensson charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Billy Svensson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Billy Svensson hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. In the 97th minute, Wim Wilmes made a precise shot to the right of Marcus Engström. Duracell Dribblers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Netherlands's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
