In the 16thth minute of the game Gelu Lelescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 20th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Rosendo Seguinus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Bas Tuitert hit a great ball. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 26th minute of play. Bas Tuitert's late challenge caught a ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bas Tuitert helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Netherlands:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ASF BAIA MARE -MM-:s goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 30th minute of play forced ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s goalkeeper Rosendo Seguinus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Vladimir Stejaru managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gust Ennemans in the 38 minute of the game. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Fryderyk Witwicki sent off a good shot on target. Fryderyk Witwickis short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Arnout Reekers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bogdan Udrişte to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s Rosendo Seguinus. Rosendo Seguinus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 70th minute of play. After 71 minutes ASF BAIA MARE -MM-'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Netherlands's Lars Meesters to a score. 1-2 in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rosendo Seguinus saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrei Zeciu went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Rosendo Seguinus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 79th minute. In the 83rd minute of the match ASF BAIA MARE -MM- got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gelu Lelescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. 85 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Fryderyk Witwicki came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrei Zeciu in the 90th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute of the match Gelu Lelescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers skillfully saved the ball. Vladimir Stejaru's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladimir Stejaru helped the player get up and apologised. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
