The score was now 1-0. Connor Gebert came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten. But to his dismay, Edward Vanderstraeten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Edward Vanderstraeten struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Connor Gebert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgium. After 16 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Lenny Clocheret. Casper Claes was a little too slow when Adrian Tărău got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 2-1. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Edward Vanderstraeten sped through FC 08 Brühl's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Connor Gebert. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Connor Gebert having to make a save. 32 minutes into the match, FC 08 Brühl's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Connor Gebert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Roman Kreuter could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Casper Claes however easily saved by the left post. Connor Gebert came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Siebe Michiels. But to his dismay, Siebe Michiels quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The supporters of FC 08 Brühl booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yves Dervaux didn't get a good kick on the ball. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Boehm in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 43rd minute of play forced FC 08 Brühl's goalkeeper Connor Gebert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Tărău in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 2-3 lead.

FC 08 Brühl's Connor Gebert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save FC 08 Brühl from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, FC 08 Brühl's Connor Gebert got control of the ball when Siebe Michiels tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten made a precise shot to the right of Connor Gebert. FC 08 Brühl's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. After 57 minutes, Edward Vanderstraeten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Belgium and the FC 08 Brühl players grew even worse after the yellow card. FC 08 Brühl's Connor Gebert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 62nd minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Connor Gebert made a huge save. In the 65th minute Adrian Tărău shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Connor Gebert made a huge save. Arne Boehm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Connor Gebert in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 83 minutes into the match, Adrian Tărău notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Belgium's Casper Claes. Casper Claes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC 08 Brühl's goalkeeper Connor Gebert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Connor Gebert in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Belgium players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
