Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomi Gøl made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antal Valentin during the 53rd minute. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Barral having to interfere. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Barral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. Hungary's Major Barna got a good chance for a goal in the 100th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hungary's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
