Gunnar Håning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klas Aronsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Klas Aronsson came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Fårdala FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klas Aronsson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Fårdala FF's zone, Balazs Lajos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gunnar Håning came out of the goal and Balazs Lajos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thor Stenqvist in the 15th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Reine Tholsson who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hungary's goalie and right to Ola Asserlind. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Hungary's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 26 minutes into the match, Fårdala FF's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Gunnar Håning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Klas Aronsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 36th minute of play forced Fårdala FF's goalkeeper Gunnar Håning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fårdala FF's Gunnar Håning played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takacs Tibor in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Hegedus Henrik got a free kick in the 40th minute. 46 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fårdala FF's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Antal Valentin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Fårdala FF's Gunnar Håning did a great save. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Sonny Marenghi's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sonny Marenghi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Fårdala FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sonny Marenghi to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th minute, Hungary's Antal Valentin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Major Barna might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gunnar Håning. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Major Barna ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Hungary booed when Fårdala FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar Sjöberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Fårdala FF's Gunnar Håning got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ola Asserlind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Fårdala FF's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Gunnar Håning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hungary's attack was well implemented in the 77th minute, but when Antal Valentin was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Hungary booed when Fårdala FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thor Stenqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Håning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Major Barna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gunnar Håning breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute, Steve Trawel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Klas Aronsson came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
