Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dagoberto Veiga having to interfere. Dagoberto Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Bas Tuitert. 24 minutes into the match, SE Tijolo 6 Furos's goalkeeper Dagoberto Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giovanni Custódio in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SE Tijolo 6 Furos's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dagoberto Veiga came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dagoberto Veiga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 31st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dagoberto Veiga saved SE Tijolo 6 Furos from getting behind. 38 minutes into the match, SE Tijolo 6 Furos's goalkeeper Dagoberto Veiga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Azevedo in the 40th minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, SE Tijolo 6 Furos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademir Leão to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Gustaaf Groeneveldt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dagoberto Veiga was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. SE Tijolo 6 Furos made a substitution.
