The referee ignored City Friseur Wuppertal's protests and gave Edwin Vestlund a yellow card for diving instead. Hüseyin Rahmi Uçanok got a throw-in 45 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Edwin Vestlund. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Waldemar Ryback hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldemar Ryback's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. City Friseur Wuppertal's Xu Yi Lei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save City Friseur Wuppertal from getting a goal against them. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Ryback in the 91st minute of the match. After 92 played minutes City Friseur Wuppertal got a freekick which was hit by Nuratay Ergüner. City Friseur Wuppertal's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
