The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nichifor Borăscu struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Wilson Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for International Thunders. In the 9th minute Percival Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. International Thunders were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Portugal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlo Gerick took the corner. Carlo Gerick made a great header on International Thunders's corner, it was just that Portugal's Wilson Amorim managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Percival Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Percival Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. International Thunders's Rouven Nussli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 16th minute of play. After 20 minutes of play, International Thunders's Percival Costa made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 22 minutes, Oskar Vahlberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the International Thunders and the Portugal players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rouven Nussli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 23rd minute. Viriato Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Rouven Nussli in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 41stth minute of the game Viriato Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but International Thunders's Rouven Nussli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rouven Nussli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Barreto went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Percival Costa during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, Percival Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. International Thunders's Rouven Nussli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 47th minute of play. International Thunders's Loukianos Staikos was substituted for Percival Costa. Felipe Barreto made a great header on Portugal's corner, it was just that International Thunders's Rouven Nussli managed to reach the ball for a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nichifor Borăscu to strike the kick off in the second half. Rouven Nussli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 55th minute of play. Felipe Barreto took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rouven Nussli. Rouven Nussli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Nichifor Borăscu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nichifor Borăscu. When Loukianos Staikos came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the International Thunders fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Loukianos Staikos couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, one of Portugal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Portugal. 2-2 came through a penalty shot after 65 played minutes, when International Thunders:s Carlo Gerick calmly waited for Portugal:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. When Nichifor Borăscu came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the International Thunders fans jumped to their feet. After 87 minutes Portugal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Julien-Nils Freeh who took care of the corner kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Raimundas Baleika advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-3 in the 87th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Loukianos Staikos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. International Thunders's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loukianos Staikos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Daniel Pimentel got a free kick in the 90th minute. An unexpected shot in the 91st minute by Nichifor Borăscu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 92nd play minute Nichifor Borăscu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Wilson Amorim. 2-4. After a rather tough play, International Thunders's Julien-Nils Freeh got a free kick in the 95th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Graciano Coutinho notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of International Thunders's Rouven Nussli. Rouven Nussli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tibor Bäuschlein in the 99th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched International Thunders eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
