Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigel Bogătan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Malte Schiele hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Academia Adrian defense, Frank Sachs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gigel Bogătan. The Academia Adrian fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gigel Bogătan should have stopped the shot. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gentza Gómez in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malte Schiele to maneuver through the defense. Albin Holweck was extremely unlucky when he, in the 23rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gigel Bogătan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 25th minute. The supporters of Germany booed when Academia Adrian was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nae Postelnicescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gentza Gómez in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gigel Bogătan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albin Holweck in the 44th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 86th minute, Frank Sachs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gigel Bogătan was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a rather tough play, Academia Adrian's Dragoş Andrushko got a free kick in the 89th minute. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gigel Bogătan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. Bogdan Aluneanu made in the 96th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Germany's Adrian Dreifuss. Germany's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
