Rafael Heintz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 11 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by David Eikelkamp. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarkko Loikala in the 16th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jürgen Behnke in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arnout Reekers, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jürgen Behnke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jürgen Behnke in the 20th minute. Rafael Heintz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 28th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafael Heintz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 35 minutes into the match, TSV Delliehausen's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Rafael Heintz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Heintz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Eikelkamp in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd minute Jean-Marc Debut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarkko Loikala in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by TSV Delliehausen's Linus Mattes. But to his dismay, Linus Mattes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 56th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Wim Wilmes took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael Heintz. Rafael Heintz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. David Eikelkamp hit a great ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarkko Loikala in the 61st minute of play. In the 68th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Heintz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Jarkko Loikala notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jürgen Behnke in the 75th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Wim Wilmes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rafael Heintz. That made the score 2-3 after 80 minutes of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jürgen Behnke in the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Boris Seidl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Boris Seidl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jürgen Behnke in the 89th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jürgen Behnke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Heintz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 94th minute of the match.
