Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jürgen Trittin started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Laurens Vandamme. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Alvar Arvidsson made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Edward Vanderstraeten took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Alvar Arvidsson to make any attempt to save it. Alvar Arvidsson made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Alvar Arvidsson was a little too slow when Edward Vanderstraeten got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 2-0. After some careless play in the Belgium defense, John Bratt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Claes. The Belgium fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Claes should have stopped the shot. Edward Vanderstraeten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alvar Arvidsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Kattvik kings getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Şenel Zeval hit a great ball. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jürgen Trittin, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute, Edward Vanderstraeten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgium fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Alvar Arvidsson made a huge save. In the 35th minute, Şenel Zeval ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Claes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edward Vanderstraeten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lenny Clocheret kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56thth minute of the game Jürgen Trittin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belgium's Casper Claes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 58th minute of play forced Kattvik kings's goalkeeper Alvar Arvidsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Kattvik kings's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edward Vanderstraeten took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in Kattvik kings's zone, Edward Vanderstraeten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvar Arvidsson came out of the goal and Edward Vanderstraeten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casper Claes made an important save on a dangerous shot by John Bratt in the 63rd minute. Belgium's Casper Claes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Belgium from getting a goal against them. Alvar Arvidsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 71st minute of play. Alvar Arvidsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvar Arvidsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Alvar Arvidsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Vanderstraeten in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvar Arvidsson saved Kattvik kings from getting behind. With a little luck, Belgium's Casper Claes got control of the ball when John Bratt tried to sneak it across the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Edward Vanderstraeten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alvar Arvidsson. Kattvik kings's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edward Vanderstraeten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kattvik kings's Alvar Arvidsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 94th minute of play. Belgium's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
