Germany's Frank Sachs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folke Melin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 6 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albert Andberg. Albin Holweck's late challenge caught a Pauliström's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albin Holweck helped the player get up and apologised. Albin Holweck kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Ingvar Johansson struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pauliström. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Johansson in the 15th minute of the match. Magnus Björk made in the 16th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ingvar Johansson however managed to control. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Folke Melin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 21 minutes of play, Pauliström's Albert Andberg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chris Mergenthaler kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. A hard shot by Ivar Björklund from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Tommy Kahn's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. After 35 minutes Germany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ivar Björklund who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Folke Melin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When Frank Sachs fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Frank Sachs a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Germany's Frank Sachs got a free kick in the 37th minute. The supporters of Pauliström booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Krakouer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Albert Andberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 47 minutes, Adrian Dreifuss mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the Pauliström players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. Ivar Björklund struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pauliström. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Folke Melin made the kick off in the second half. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivar Björklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pauliström's goalkeeper Malcolm Wall, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ingvar Johansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivar Björklund in the 62nd minute of play. Albin Holweck struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Malcolm Wall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Pauliström getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Magnus Björk hit a great ball. Janik Vogt's late challenge caught a Pauliström's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Janik Vogt helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pauliström booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janik Vogt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivar Björklund in the 79th minute of play. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Malcolm Wall showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 82nd minute of the match. Magnus Björk charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Magnus Björk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Germany's Chris Mergenthaler got a free kick in the 88th minute. Frank Sachs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Malcolm Wall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Bengt-Åke Biörk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Malcolm Wall in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th match minute, Pauliström was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Max Hjortsberg to maneuver through the defense. Pauliström's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
