Zdzislaw Domarecki came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 6th minute of play forced Onyx's goalkeeper Zdzislaw Domarecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Onyx's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Zdzislaw Domarecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 9 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 46th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zdzislaw Domarecki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wojciech Barycz to strike the kick off in the second half. Onyx's Zdzislaw Domarecki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 90th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Zdzislaw Domarecki firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Netherlands players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
