The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with 龚战晨 in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Willy Stieler hit a great ball. The supporters of Germany booed when Storm风暴俱乐部队 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. 秦潮超 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulrich Stein made a good shot from long distance 27 minutes into the match, but 龚战晨 was on his toes and read the play so well that he without major difficulties grabbed hold of the ball before it went into the goal in the upper right corner. 28 minutes into the match, Germany's Albin Holweck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 龚战晨 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute of the match, Frank Sachs got a very nice opportunity to score, but 龚战晨 was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
