In the 19th minute, Jonathan Fountain made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Albin Holweck hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, Olivier Kramme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olivier Kramme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Szkarpiak in the 48th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonathan Fountain made a kick off. Honorato Costante was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Germany's Janik Vogt got a free kick in the 88th minute.
