Italy were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Castanheiro SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sigfrido Auletta took the corner. Castanheiro SC's Wincent Dropinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 16th minute of play. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Stefano in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Castanheiro SC got a corner. Italy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Igor Ilyin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Castanheiro SC's Manfredo Quirino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Castanheiro SC's Wincent Dropinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siricio Liotta in the 22nd minute of play. Wincent Dropinski came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Siricio Liotta. But to his dismay, Siricio Liotta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Wincent Dropinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 28th minute of play. Italy's attentive Siricio Liotta managed to snatch the ball when Gilberto Lopes made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. When Italy's Sigfrido Auletta in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Castanheiro SC's goalie prevented a goal. Wincent Dropinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, 陶渊伟 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute Sigfrido Auletta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincent Dropinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zaccheo Andolina to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Pedro Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Wincent Dropinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner ended in Igor Ilyin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Italy's Flavio Vittori did a great save. Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. Sigfrido Auletta made a great header on Italy's corner, it was just that Castanheiro SC's Wincent Dropinski managed to reach the ball for a save. 76 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Wincent Dropinski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Porziano Marchitelli. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Stefano in the 93rd minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Gilberto Lopes threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Siricio Liotta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Guiscardo Davide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Wincent Dropinski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
