Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chavdar Motekov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tervel Dushanov in the 19th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Slavi Dramov notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Belgium's Casper Claes. Casper Claes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 24 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nikifor Ruzhekov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute Belgium were awarded a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten went to the cornerflag to take it. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Edward Vanderstraeten put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nikifor Ruzhekov. EW® Leeds's Nikifor Ruzhekov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save EW® Leeds from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pavlin Mogilanski was slow to take the kick. During this time EW® Leeds's players had a chance to rest. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikifor Ruzhekov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatoli Filov in the 42nd minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nikifor Ruzhekov having to make a save. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Nikifor Ruzhekov made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Simon Sabbe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tervel Dushanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pavlin Mogilanski got free with Casper Claes in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pavlin Mogilanski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Casper Claes came out and tried to block the shot, but Pavlin Mogilanski slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 61st minute. Nikifor Ruzhekov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 64th minute of the match. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by EW® Leeds's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten was slow to take the kick. During this time Belgium's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Sander Dermaut got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nikifor Ruzhekov quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 69th match minute, EW® Leeds was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Slavi Dramov to maneuver through the defense. EW® Leeds's Nikifor Ruzhekov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 71st minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nikifor Ruzhekov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nikifor Ruzhekov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind EW® Leeds's goalkeeper Nikifor Ruzhekov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye EW® Leeds's goalie prevented a goal. Nikifor Ruzhekov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 92nd minute of the match. Nikifor Ruzhekov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siebe Michiels in the 93rd minute of play.
