In the 4th minute of the match, Porziano Marchitelli got a very nice opportunity to score, but Leonard Rosen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After some careless play in the AA Bełchatów defense, Zaccheo Andolina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonard Rosen. The AA Bełchatów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonard Rosen should have stopped the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Sigfrido Auletta notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of AA Bełchatów's Leonard Rosen. Leonard Rosen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zaccheo Andolina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Leonard Rosen made a huge save. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryszard Przewozik in the 25th minute of play. Leonard Rosen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 27th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zaccheo Andolina was the one to do the kick off. Leonard Rosen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Leonard Rosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Zaccheo Andolina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Italy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Leonard Rosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 92nd minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, AA Bełchatów's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Leonard Rosen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94thth minute of the game Mariusz Basaik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Italy's Flavio Vittori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Italy had won after a very even match.
