In the 8th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bjarne Kirkegaard to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Refik Halit Kutuner in the 15th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Denmark's Olav Graversen. Refik Halit Kutuner made in the 17th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Edvaldo Gaúcho however managed to control. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ferhat Uğuş was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. In the 23rd minute, Bertram Svenningsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Denmark fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 28th minute of play forced ÇALIMLI's goalkeeper Ferhat Uğuş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Denmark booed when ÇALIMLI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zülfü Dicle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chris Nygaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnabé Amice in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Keld Paulsen saved Denmark from getting behind. Chris Nygaard kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Barnabé Amice came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denmark's Keld Paulsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. Ferhat Uğuş showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bertram Svenningsen in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Chris Nygaard made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, ÇALIMLI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zülfü Dicle to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the match, Barnabé Amice notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Denmark's Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Denmark's Olav Graversen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Refik Halit Kutuner in the 59 minute of the game. The supporters of Denmark booed when ÇALIMLI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvaldo Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theis Winther to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Refik Halit Kutuner in the 66th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen. Chris Nygaard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Ferhat Uğuş when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Chris Nygaard in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ferhat Uğuş, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some careless play in the Denmark defense, Zekeriya Özbekkan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen. The Denmark fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Keld Paulsen should have stopped the shot. Bertram Svenningsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th match minute, ÇALIMLI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enginalp İnanoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnabé Amice in the 95th minute of play. Many of Denmark's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Denmark may have spent more time on the ball, but ÇALIMLI were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
