Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Frank Sachs started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The crowd rose to their feet as Amedeo Recio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommy Kahn. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. In the 8th match minute, Coviolo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domenico Olmi to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Coviolo booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Krakouer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Coviolo's Alessandro Buffone got a free kick in the 16th minute. Alfonso Muciaccia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amedeo Recio. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pär Are breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessandro Buffone in the 28th minute of play. Tacito Assenso got a throw-in 32 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Fabiano Di Nino. The supporters of Coviolo booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Coviolo's Pär Are played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Holweck in the 40th minute of play. After 44 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. Alessandro Buffone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Albin Holweck's late challenge caught a Coviolo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albin Holweck helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Albin Holweck hit a great ball. In the 55th match minute, Coviolo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Marcon to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute of the match, Albin Holweck tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pär Are saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 61st minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pär Are saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute Amedeo Recio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Amedeo Recio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coviolo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amedeo Recio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Coviolo's Pär Are got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
