Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Viriato Moura got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Portugal booed when Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Bartoszek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Mei might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Mei ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 4th minute Carlos Mei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Portugal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 6th minute. Penalty! Wilson Amorim had in the 7thth minute some difficulties stopping Anacleto Geofredo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 8th minute Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely were awarded a corner. Ediberto de Queirós went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Ediberto de Queirós got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wilson Amorim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Felipe Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute Carlos Mei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Carlos Mei kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Mei in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute, Ladislao Bela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Lyle Coppack in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, Carlos Mei had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Mei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Mei to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Miranda made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Patrik De Roost. Fábio Vieira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Lyle Coppack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 55th minute of play. Lyle Coppack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Mei got free with Wilson Amorim in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute of the match, Carlos Mei got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wilson Amorim was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 76th match minute, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Flinck to maneuver through the defense. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely made a substitution. Adrián-Daniel Dobre replaced Ediberto de Queirós. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Eusebiu Ipătescu was substituted for Carlos Mei. Lyle Coppack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 80th minute of play. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusebiu Ipătescu in the 81st minute. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Adrián-Daniel Dobre was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 84th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's goal looked a bit too open when Felipinho Amorim came free, but Lyle Coppack reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anacleto Geofredo made in the 89th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel.
