In the 37th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Duman Temizcan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Meesters in the 87th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Oktay Kahveci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Git!'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. After 91 played minutes La Git! got a freekick which was hit by Oktay Kahveci. Netherlands's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
