To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patric Linqvist. 36 minutes into the match, Patric Linqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patric Linqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Patric Linqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After 43 minutes of play, 天下常熟's Patric Linqvist made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 赵渊凌 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Patric Linqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Patric Linqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patric Linqvist in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patric Linqvist in the 57th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Patric Linqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The 天下常熟 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 62nd minute Patric Linqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
